Touch by Sight Eye Tracking
Control your computer hands free! BLiNK is the most innovative eye tracking device since the mouse.
BLiNK captures sophisticated technology used in commercial eye tracking systems that can cost between $7,500 and more than $20,000. BLiNK is offered at a fraction of the cost for around $200. Without sacrificing everyday performance, we have simplified and refined the cameras, lights, and lenses, and imaging systems, and made it wireless. Miniaturizing the components enables BLiNK to fit into a lightweight, sleek, and portable design.
Realizing BLiNK was not an easy task. We analyzed the performance in the
really expensive commercial eye trackers. We found that laboratory performance
was not necessary for everyday tasks. We wanted BLiNK to fit into your life as
easily as possible. So we made it small enough to fit in your packet. We wanted
you to be able to use BLiNK whether or not your where glasses. So we designed a
patent-pending universal clip-on design and also made it as light as possible.
We wanted BLiNK to help you multi-task. So we integrated a lithium-ion
rechargeable battery and a wireless system so you can move around in freedom. We
are very proud of the BLiNK design and excited to share it with you.
XBox Kinect, Wii and LEAP are leading the way in motion computing. The Ipad has made touch and swipe input a staple. Google's Project Glass is giving us a vision of how glasses and computing can work. BLiNK is the next big step in the way we interact with our computers.
BLiNK Touch by Sight 60% Faster
BLiNK lets you control your computer with your eyes. Think about it. Your eyes are already focused on the screen. No need to move a mouse or even lift a finger. Just pause for a moment and your eyes click zoom or swipe without lifting a finger.
There are so many application for BLiNK, from mouse-less input, blasting away gaming opponents with a glance, to busy secretaries, data input personnel, order takers, students, the list goes on. If you use a computer, BLiNK can help you get your work done 60% quicker. The Human Computer Interaction Laboratory Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC proves that eye gaze selection is 60% quicker than traditional mouse input. Not to mention, more ergonomic.
Introducing BLiNKCreate Software
BLiNK hardware capabilities is already compatible with open source software that is currently available. With a successful campaign through Crowdfunding, we will be able to complete our own open source software to support BLiNK. We aim to make BLiNK's software the most user-friendly eye tracking platform. The Touch-By-Site software will work with both Windows computers and any Windows tablet. Mac and Ipad are on the way. We will also be releasing a software developer's kit so programmer's can design software optimized for BLiNK.
Interface: Intuitive - Faster - Safer
A Perfect Compliment to Windows 8
The new metro style Win8 interface is very slick. It is designed for phones and tablets to function the same. This is a great concept although users of laptops and desktops will greatly benefit using BLiNK.
BLiNK is more intuitive, easier, and faster to use than your existing mouse,
keyboard, touch-screen, or laptop touch pads. BLiNK will also offer enhanced
compatibility with newer operating system like Windows 8, which is optimized for
mobility and accessibility with a swipe-style interface- something BLiNK works
very well with. In fact, BLiNK offers some real-life advantages over the
limitations of traditional input devices.
Metro was originally designed to be used with a finger on a touch screen, not with a mouse or track pad. In order to see a particular app tile on the Metro start screen, for example, you may have to scroll left or right. That's not a problem if you can simply swipe left or right on a touch screen, but it's not such an easy or quick thing to do if you've got to use a touch pad or mouse to click on a scroll bar. With BLiNK it's as quick and simple as a glance.
BLiNK is intended for anyone to use and can be adopted for use in many different applications including improved productivity in the workplace. For all you web designers and advertisers, BLiNK can produce heat maps showing how attention is focused on design. Mobile applications like equipment installations or servicing, market research, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) are now available to everyone.
